Sandy McGlynn is the daughter of Cathy and Don Whyte and grew up among the blessings of community life in Holstein, Ontario.  Following secondary school, Sandy earned her Massage Therapy License from The Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in Kitchener.  Sandy pursued her career in massage in Mount Forest, Shelburne and Kitchener.  In November of 2011, Sandy returned to the ideals of life in small town, rural Ontario when she, and her husband John, purchased the Whitney Ribey Funeral Home in Seaforth.  Sandy, John and their two sons, Duke and Rory, are now actively involved in community life.  Sandy oversees much of the business administration of the funeral home.  She is a welcoming, friendly presence assisting people during visitations and funerals, as well as managing the memorial donations desk.  Sandy has great skills for planning and organizing and shares these talents through her involvement with the Seaforth Optimist Club and other community fundraising opportunities.

Steve Hildebrand

Steve Hildebrand has always called Seaforth home.  Many people recall Steve on Seaforth’s Main Street, engaging his creative side as owner of Hildebrand Flowers & Gifts.  A new beginning emerged in Steve’s life, and upon answering the call to ministry, he served as Pastor of Egmondville United Church for nearly fourteen years.  Steve now continues to serve our community as part of the staff of McGlynn Family Funeral Home.  Steve is currently enrolled in the Funeral Service Education Program at Humber College, in Toronto, and is currently completing the internship process as the final educational component in earning his Funeral Directors License.
The times and seasons of life, have taught much to Steve.  With ways of wisdom, faith and compassion as his guide, Steve will continue to help the people of our community find their way through all that accompanies the death of a loved one.
Steve is married to his wife, Ruth.  They have two grown daughters, Jennie and Emily.  Steve and Ruth’s son Tyler died in childhood.
